Staff Testimonials
Read what some of the members our own Careerlink family have to say about working for an organisation that has a committed to being socially responsible.
Terry Habib
Terry is our General Manager of Recruitment and has experienced our Global CSR initiatives in practice.
Working with Careerlink and experiencing CSR first hand has made me realise each of us can make a real difference for so many people.
CSR has broadened the lives of so many and not just the lives of those who benefit from our initiatives. We send members of our Careerlink team to experience first hand and witness the benefits of our programs for themselves.
In 2007 my wife Maria and I were fortunate enough to visit Fiji and experience the culture for ourselves. We saw the impact and the difference that even the smallest contribution can make. When we announced to the staff we planned to take two empty suitcases with us and that contributions were welcome, we were inundated with 40 kilograms of toys, books, writing pads, crayons and skipping ropes. Presenting all this to the locals was an experience I will never forget. Just to see the look on the kids’ (and the teachers’) faces was priceless. It made our whole trip worthwhile.
Michelle Cole
Michelle is Careerlink's Business Support Manager and is a living, breathing example of how staff can benefit from CSR practices.
As a person who chooses not to drive, I have fully embraced Careerlink's green initiatives through the fact that I am either supported by other Careerlink staff by car pooling or I rely on public transport. If I work late, then I am reimbursed by Careerlink for my taxi charges. I can honestly say that Careerlink stands by their employees in their environmental stance.
I was rewarded with a trip to Fiji by Careerlink so I can also confirm that from a CSR ethical standpoint, my employer does do the right thing by its staff. Along with Angela, I was able to visit local Fijian schools and consequently was involved in starting the Library Project.
As the one who does all the ordering of stationery in the Careerlink office, we have also taken a stance to order only environmentally friendly products and I have to say I am proud to be a team member of such a proud and committed organisation.
Kristy Copley
Kristy is our Project Manager responsible for our Media and is experiencing CSR in practice for the first time.
Working with Careerlink has been my first introduction to the concept of CSR and for me it has been a life transforming experience.
There is an atmosphere of caring that underscores the Careerlink ethos. It transcends the normal definition of caring and embraces the concept of caring for your colleagues, and for the world at large.
Careerlink has introduced me to great organisations like Gemma Sisia's School of St Judes in Tanzania. Drawing on my background as a TV Producer, working with Careerlink has connected me with stories that need to be told and I hope to use Careerlink's CSR initiatives to assist me in that mission.
By embracing the mantra of connection, I have been connected with a wealth of possibilities both personally and professionally.
