Green Initiatives
Careerlink has gone green.
We're doing our bit for the environment by establishing and maintaining a green office. We're committed to ensuring a sustainable future for the planet by recycling our paper products & printing cartridges and, by choosing only card and paper products from renewable forest supplies. We've made the switch to both green energy and low-energy fluorescent light bulbs and use only energy efficient electrical appliances.
We encourage all our business partners to take similar steps to minimize their own carbon footprint and to lead by example in an effort to save our planet.
Current Initiatives
Read on for the list of environmental practices we've already embraced in our own office.
- We've made the switch to Green Energy
- All lighting in the Careerlink office is energy efficient
- We use only recycled paper and paper products
- We recycle all of our printing and toner cartridges
- We donate our old electronic equipment to charities or schools
- When flying we pay to offset our carbon emissions
- Staff are encouraged to car pool and/or use public transport
- We have adopted an e-filing system to minimise paper
- We use electronic timesheets/payrolling system
Future Plans
Helping our environment is an evolving process for most and our future planning includes implementing the following new practices.
- Our new recruitment platform is due to be launched in 2011 and will be even more automated thereby using less paper, stationery and carbon emissions
- We plan to utilise Carbon Neutral Training Facilities for future workshops and courses
